DISCOVER
Before every Senior Session, we'll have a quick planning call, where we can choose your location, talk about your style , and share the plan for how we will pull that off. It’s also a chance for me to get to know you better and answer any questions you have.
PREPARE
Next, you’ll receive my Success Guide. It’s a handbook that covers every aspect of how to prepare for your shoot - from clothing and makeup, to overcoming negative self talk, and everything in between.
CAPTURE
Day of the shoot, I'll scout the area to find the best backdrops. When you arrive, we'll plan the order that we'll shoot each look and I’ll guide you through a flow of natural and flattering poses to capture the most variety. We can usually capture 3-5 looks before sunset.
ORDER
After your shoot, we’ll schedule a video call to review your best images and so you can choose the ones you’d like to order. Then I’ll send them off to my retoucher and deliver magazine-quality images that you can print, use for grad announcements, share on social media, and cherish forever.

A lot has changed since I got my senior photos taken — thank goodness! Today’s seniors want something real: photos that show off who you are, not just what you look like.
When I graduated from Lakota West, senior portraits meant stiff poses, studio backdrops, and forced smiles. I left home to pursue my creative career in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. But now, I’m back home in Ohio, offering a totally new kind of senior photo experience — one that’s all about you.
You'll choose locations, outfits, and a style that fits your personality — and yes, you can bring your dog, your guitar, your BFF, or your sports uniform. Moms love how stress-free and organized my shoots are. Teens love how fun and relaxed it feels. And everyone loves the final images.

Where will the sessions be?
It's your choice! I have shot at a number of iconic spots in Cincinnati that I can recommend, but we can also shoot at your school (if you have access), or a private location (such as a family farm). Some of my favorite spots to date have been Old Milford, Old Lebanon, Factory 52, Over the Rhine, Old Hamilton, and some of the beautiful public parks of Cincinnati.
Even if I've never shot that location before, I always show up an hour before our meet time to scout the area. Once, I showed up at a location and it was awful, so I found another location less than 10 minutes away and saved the shoot.
Why are all the sessions at Golden Hour?
Personally, I believe there is nothing more beautiful than natural light - and Golden hour is the most flattering light there is. Also, through experience, I found that most teens prefer a unique outdoor location rather than the studio. That being said, I do have a studio and can bring my lights on location - we'll customize the experience for you. Don't see a date/time that works for you? How long is the Session?
The beginning of your appointment to the end of your appointment will take about 90 minutes. You may alternate up to 5 clothing changes which will be shot in a variety of poses to maximize coverage.
When will I get my photos?
You'll have your retouched high resolution photos in 3-5 business days after you make your selections.
What if I want more than 5 photos?
Five photos are included with your session fee, but if you love your photos and want more, additional photos can be ordered from your gallery.
Additional photos are priced:
- 1 photo $100
- 5 photos $450 (save $50)
- 10 photos $750 (save $250)
- 20 photos $1250 (save $750)
Retouching scares me. Will I still look like me?
My retoucher is the master of subtle. You can expect your eyes to pop, your skin blemishes to magically be healed, any rough skin, shine or pores to be minimized, stray hairs to be cleared, and under eye shadows are brightened so you look more awake and vibrant. You will still look like you. Just you on your best day in perfect lighting. And who doesn’t want that?
Does my session include hair and makeup?
Some people may choose to schedule hair and makeup appointments before their session. If you'd like to hire someone, let me know. I'm happy to make a recommendation.
But to keep these sessions cost-effective, most clients choose to do their own grooming. I provide a limited touch-up kit, including things like hair spray, mascara, concealer, bronzer and chapstick to make sure you look close to perfection, but ask that you please come camera-ready (hair styled, facial hair groomed, makeup ready).
Also, please arrive with clean, pressed clothing on hangers. You are encouraged to bring several options and I can help you make your final decisions.
What should I wear?
We will discuss this at your Discovery Call, and I'll also cover this in your Success Guide! In general, I would recommend a variety of looks that show your true personality. We can discuss for your specific style.
